The AL13SXB60EN may just offer 600GB of storage capacity (also available in 450/300GB) but it’s probably one of the fastest 2.5-inch (15mm thick) enterprise-grade HDDs currently in the market since thanks to its SAS 12Gb/s connectivity (backwards compatible with 6,...

Zotac Nvidia GTX 980 Ti Graphics Card Review

28th June 2015 4183 Like

With the PC graphics world in a fizz about the new AMD Radeon Fury X and our sample being lost in the world shortage, we have turned our attention to one of its main rivals, the Nvidia GTX 980 Ti. Nvidia are not sin free when it comes to shortages at launch, we wrote on our old site of the global shortage on the launch of the GTX 680, and wondered why you would launch something that is not going to be available?

Aerocool Aero-1000 White Chassis Review

There are probably as many chassis designs and manufacturers out there as mice, surfaces and keyboard, so you would be forgiven if you struggle from time to time when trying to pick a new one. gone are the days of tall or small beige boxes and their horrid green or brown motherboards making PC's as interesting as keyboards used to be and not much more appealing. Now, we have the opposite situation with manufacturers catching up with modders, who to be honest, created the modern fashions along with the overclockers.

Right off the bat, it is natural for me to compare the AS5008T to the 8-bay NAS I have already reviewed from ASUSTOR, the AS-608T. There are similarities, and a few differences. If you haven’t guessed, they are both 8-bay...

XFX Radeon R9 390X 8GB DD Black Edition Graphics Card Review

20th June 2015 4394 Like

We recently reviewed the Sapphire Radeon R9 290X Vapor-X Tri-X in preparation for the AMD Radeon R9 300 Series release and to be honest, we were a little underwhelmed by the card. Still a strong contender in the high end graphics market but in the shadow of the GTX970 from Nvidia, not to mention the GTX980 or GTX980 Ti. So a couple of days ago we tuned into the live broadcast and we got a sense of excitement from the event, it seems like AMD are really proud of the R9 300 Series release and the supporting product ranges they launched on that day.

We recently reviewed the Lexar Professional Workflow DD512 and liked it. Lexar fulfilled our perception of their company with the DD512 as an excellent, professional and focused product. Today we have something a little simpler and something we think a many people already have a lot of; the USB pen drive. What makes this different from your multi coloured no-name variety? On the eve, quite literally, of the AMD Radeon 300 Series release, we are looking at the card it is going to replace. However, the internet is full of speculation that this re-branded GPU will not be a significant enough release to justify a new generation of cards, we take a look at the R9 290X in the context of the new generation launch or whether with the pending price drops, the R9 290X is the card to get.
